If you don’t know about BTS you must be living under a rock. This seven member boy band has been stealing the hearts of fans worldwide for years and changing the game for K-pop.


Their third album, Love Yourself: Tear, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, making the band the only Korean act to achieve this. This isn’t even the first record the group broke for Korean acts. Needless to say, they’re dominating. So if you’re late to the game and just started swooning when you saw them at the 2019 Grammys, here’s what you need to know.


1. BTS formed in 2013.

2. The group’s name stands for the Korean expression Bangtan Sonyeondan, translating to “Bulletproof Boy Scouts.”



3. The group’s second EP triggered their first appearance on the Billboard World Albums chart.
